Catrice Dusk til Dawn from IceRozie

Catrice polishes ROCK. Can anyone tell me how to get more of these babies?!?! Rozie was kind enough to think of me on her vacation and sent me two of them. They go on like and Illa, really. Smooth and creamy, and this is only 2 coats!! Great coverage and the color is a dusky brown that reminds me a tad of Particuliere’. It’s not a dirty brown… it looks clean and chic! Thank you Roze, for thinking of me!

Chanel Particuliere

Thanks to jbrobeck, I have been in possesion of her Chanel polish and it’s time for it to go home to it’s real mom! I finally figured out the lightbox and this IS color accurate. It goes on like buttah. This is only 2 coats and it’s totally opaque. I’d buy it in a second if I could find it! I’m now a Chanel convert and see what the big deal is! Thanks, Jessika! ;)

OPI Can You Tapas This?

This is way prettier in person, much shinier. It is a kind of kidney bean color, so the photo is pretty accurate, though irl, it looks a bit darker. It’s not maroon and it’s not burgundy, it’s in between somewhere! Went on perfectly. I love OPIs. This is another beautiful creme from the Espana Collection.

A polish I LOVE as bronzes are some of my fave shades. Jessika found this beauty and thought of me! :D It is almost a one coater, but I used two because I’m an addictive painter! The formula is really smooth on this, too, very easy to apply and not thin at all (nor goopy or thick!). This is a deep bronze with a very golden flash. Baroque Bronze is the perfect name for this color. Thanks, Jessika!

Nfu Oh 49 over Suzi Says Da

Both of these polishes have already been reviewed and I love them both! So I decided to put them together, and my love is even stronger! I like how it looks in different lighting, and I like it alot with brown instead of black. Not so harsh for daytime or nighttime.

China Glaze Ginger over OPI Ginger Bells

China Glaze Ginger over OPI Ginger Bells

The ChG polishes in this collection, I believe it’s Carnival Lights (I’m SO not the researcher.) are a little translucent, so layering them works great for me since I like opaque best. I used OPI Ginger Bells 2 coats with 1 coat of Ginger. Ginger is a holo glitter with coppery tones, very nice and smooth with topcoat. Mahagonie and Dynasty are also in the same collection and similar in texture and tone, all very pretty and unique. I classify this in browns, though it is kind of orangy, too… very fallish.

China Glaze Mahagonie over dark brown shimmer

ChG Mahoganie over dark brown

ChG Mahoganie over dark brown

Mahagonie is a brown jelly looking sheerish shade with lots of micro gitter and chunky glitter. And holo. I can never capture the beauty of the holo glitter. But trust me, it’s gorgeous. This is over a dark brown shimmer to show the glitter more. It is chunky feeling. But it’s so worth it! :D

Wet N Wild Craze Rustic

Wet n Wild Craze Rustic

Wet n Wild Craze Rustic

FINALLY found these polishes at a Fred Meyer! They are really pretty and I wish I had gotten back ups because the bottles are teensy! This one called Rustic is just what it says…it looks rusty- shimmery, not quite as broze as some others, definitely more rust. I absolutely love it, but I have a love for shades of brown. It went on easily, soon as I got used to the teeny bottle, which makes for a stumpy brush. Dried fast, no regrets, looking for more!

MMM chocolatey! Goes on super creamy. Misa cremes absolutely rule. Moody Model is from the Runway Diva Collection. Sorry for the day old worn looking mani. I’ll replace it with a better one.

Perhaps you noticed I had to whack off my nails? I changed basecoats and had a lot of chips and tears from cleaning out my garage, so I decided to start fresh. My nails do weird things as they get long anyway… they twist and curl. Eewww!

OPI Holiday Glow

Goes on beautifully, of course. Takes 3 coats, definitely, to bring out the “Glow” in this holiday polish. Holiday Glow is a brown with small golden glitter particles that you can feel…a little rough like sandpaper… not chunky, though. Once the topcoat is on, it feels smooth to me. Looks like embers in a fire. It is a little plummy, but definitely more brown to me. I’ve seen other pictures in which this polish looks so incredible, and I’m not sure if I got a bum bottle or what, but it definitely looks better in other people’s pictures.

Gorgeous. It’s a deep chestnut brown with alot of shine. Goes on great, but a definite 3-coater.

Stunning semi-sweet chocolate brown. Super creamy, easy application and a very shiny finish. Another sucess from the Runway Diva line.

Misa Toasted Almond

A lovely polish that goes on super smooth and creamy. Dries quickly, too. I have a hard time describing this color, so I’ll go with toasted almond! It definitely is a shade of neutral brown, but it’s not orangey at all.

A lovely, shimmery (almost frost), fast-drying polish in a medium brown shade. I am at a loss for words today, maybe I should update when I’m not so tired! This is definitely another of my favorites, though.

Sinful Flirting Nails

Really nice formula, looks pretty at 1 coat, but this is 2. A light, shimmery taupe, very neutral. Every bit as good as my OPIs and doesn’t smell as bad! The Sinful polishes are available at Walgreens and I’m sure many other stores. Fred Meyer, to name one other in the NW. They are usually $1.99, and often BOGO, so they are well worth the price if you like the color… or if you want to experiment!

This is probably my favorite polish now. It’s a charcoal brown holo sparkle! You can really see the holo sparkles in the sunlight. It goes on great…better than any other polish I have, and it is so wearable. Below is a shot of the holo sunlit, so you can see the sparkle and color better.

China Glaze Side Saddle

The formula is easy to work with and goes on smoothly with little streaking on second coat. I’m wearing three coats here. The first coat, it looks like an eggplant colored base with golden sparkles. The second coat, it turns brown and more golden. The third, well, you can see it. A deep wine brown with golden shimmer. It’s a lovely shade and though I have a few similar, I think this one is the prettiest by far.

China Glaze Golden Spurs

I wore this polish for a couple of days, a near record for me. It transforms into a soft, shimmery, golden shade in the sun, and looks like a soft taupe indoors. A simple but unusual shade. Dries pretty quick and two coats was all I needed.

A beautiful bronze, this dries quickly, fortunately, because it is a rather sheer polish. It took four coats to get this opacity, but it was well worth it, methinks! It’s kind of frosty, but I don’t think it’s a real frost… more of a heavy shimmer.

A real milky, chocolatey brown! I thought my nails should smell like a hershey bar. (They don’t.) Great formula, goes on very smooth. 2 coats is plenty!
