OPI DS Mystery from Kesha
Kesha fulfilled my longtime lemming for this beauty. It’s a deep purple with sparkly golden microglitter (or diamond dust, lol!) Very vampy and sexy… speaking of vampy, my mom says that term comes from “ladies” that used to follow Rudolph Valentino around… Vamps. I have to wonder if that’s where Vampy came from or is it really the whole vampire thing? ANyhoo… probaby not! LOL! Wikipedia lists its first use in the 40s. Illamasqua Poke from IceRozie
Rozie performed the greatest kindness for me ages back when she bought me a bunch of Illas that are Euorpean only. I had an orgasm, I swear. I’ve staved off using them until I could get her long awaited packge off! Now it’s on! This was one I wasn’t going to get! Can you imagine how po’d I’d have been??? Bright violet purple with multicolored micro glitter! It goes on like buttah, it stays like iron. Amazing polish and I’m so glad you got this one for me, Roze! Thank you!! This is one beauty of a violet! It took 4 coats to cover my vnl, but most people, 2-3 will probably work fine. This is another lovely from Jessika of PolishInsomniac. I couldn’t leave off after a week of wearing her pretties. There are soo many more! I think this is the most hated bottle in the world, but the polish itself was great. It dried pretty quickly (despite the slight dent in my index finger.) It’s got micro-glitter shimmer inside so I don’t even know what to call this polish! Just wowsa! It really glows from within.
Wet n Wild Megalast in Disturbia
How Jessika finds these polishes, I’ll never know. My stores are lame, sold out, never carry them… so Jess finds these gems for me. This one is a deep purple shimmer, and this is no topcoat. Supershiny and only 2 coats! A win-win-win!
Purple Dusk by Jessika
This is just my favorite color from one of my favorite people! Made with her own sweet hands, this is a beauty. Dusky purple with rainbow glitter… it’s right up my alley! I couldn’t have found a prettier polish! Thanks, Jessika! And your package is finally on it’s way!

OPI DS Glow
Jessika knows of my love for coppery bronzey shades and so this beautiful baby became mine! OPI DS Glow is like the shinest new penny and the glitz factor is off the scale. Somehow wow and understated at the same time. This is my fave so far of all the DS OPIs I’ve tried.
SpaRitual Days of Wine and Roses
This is the polish that started Jessika and I talking, so it’s my favorite polish ever because I made such a good friend! It dries fast, goes on silky smooth and is the prettiest wine color with microglitter. You can see the glitter better in the second pic.

LA Girl Rockstar in Rockstar
This is another lovely from Jessika of PolishInsomniac. I couldn’t capture the beauty of this polish and dh insists it’s black. But it isn’t! It’s the darkest purple ever, with purple microglitter. It went on fantastically smooth and opaque in two coats! That’s great for me, as I have a real strong visible nail line and typically need 3-5 coats to be fully opaque on most polishes. Another beauty! Thank you, Jessika! (I do believe this is Jesskia month here! I have plenty of polishes from Her Royal Sweetness to do that!)
Orly Vintage Jungle Love from Jessika
I’m guessing 80s-90s here? I remember this bottle style, but I have no others like it. It has a silver top. The polish is chock full of formaldehyde and toulene, so don’t even think about it if you plan on a pregnancy! MY darling sweet Jessika of PolishInsomniac sent me this baby, and I love it to bits. It’s a camo-green, with the tiniest microglitter, mostly giving it a golden green shimmer. I now feel pricelessly beautiful in my husbands old camis, which I wear constantly. Jessika always knows the right polish for me! THank you sweetheart for the fabulous find!
China Glaze Stellar
First, I love the color of this polish. A champagne beige with micoglitter, I think it’s suit any skintone. This is my usual 3 coats plus SV. Downside: total pita to remove unless you use the soak and wrap method of removal. In my book, it’s worth it!

OPI Catch Me In Your Net
At first, I thought this made me look a bit hooker-ish! But it grew on me, and now it looks like something a mermaid would wear, doesn’t it? It’s aqua but with a greenish cast sometimes. VERY shimmery, maybe glittery, but smooth to the touch. I thought it needed 3 coats, but this is 2. DH took me for a mani/pedi yesterday (sweetie, I had cramps!) and the pedi was fantastic, but they didn’t do the best job on my mani, as you can see, and I didn’t clean it up. Cuticles still chunked. Polish not perfect, but better than my own lately, lol! But the color is lovely. This is from the OPI Butterfly Collection that came out this spring. All in all, I love it for the unique aqua blue-green color and fantastic shimmer/glitteryness of it, and it looks great on my toes!
China Glaze Bogie
I’d almost compare this to a blackberry shade… dusky eggplant, maybe? It has alot of shimmer, though! I really like this one and plan to wear it alot this fall! This is a three day old mani and a pic taken quick, so pardon (always and forever) my horrid cuticles. Sorry, also, that I’ve been on such whirl around here I haven’t been up to snuff on posting and answering. Someday my rountine shall set in!
China Glaze Jitterbug
This little lovely is from the ChG Vintage Vixen set. I thought it was a close dupe to OPI Lucerne-tainly but it’s really not. Lighter in color, and more graphite looking, very shimmery as to almost be a glitter. Dh loves these natural earthy looking polishes. And so do I! If you click the pic, it gets HUGE and you can see the flecks of shimmer better. I didn’t use a topcoat, hence the wear, sorry. Sunlight here doesn’t always allow an immediate photo…due to the lack of it. But lucky me, today we have some sun, so a-swatching I shall go!
NARS Saratoga
Another beauty! I wouldn’t say this is unusual really, it’s an almost burgundy wine with golden and red shimmer, and I loves it, anyway! It went on very nicely, 3 coats, my usual. 2 probably would have done the job, but I like painting my nails, so I do 3. This is a sunshiney pic so it does look brighter here than in real life. Looks more red than burgundy in the sun. Should’ve grabbed 2 pics so you could see it better!
NARS Tokaido Express
Okay, this polish is un-freakin’ believably beautiful. 2 coats, went on like a sweet dream. It doesn’t change colors, really, but it does look a bit more wine-ish sometimes than real purple, but it shimmers like wild. Another yay!
OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous
What can ya say but wow. This polish is definitely glam… makes me think of that Italian Vouge fashion shoot, Oil & Water. There are others similar, most notibly one from the ChG Vintage Vixen Collection, which I’ll do a comparison on. No others quite like this one, far as the ones I have. It’s very shimmery but smooth, and I’m about to find out about removal. I expect it to be pretty easy. Application was flawlessly easy, and this is 3 coats.
OPI Glitzerland
My favorite real gold looking polish. It almost matches my wedding rings exactly. A wee bit lighter. Not too yellow, not too glittery, just GLITZ. Super shimmery, it went on easily and took 3 coats to get it opaque enough for me. But three coats well worth it, I think!
NARS Blue Lagoon
Goes on dreamy smooth and wonderfully easy. At first, I thought it was just a layering polish, and maybe it is, but here’s 5 coats in the shade, and you can see how pretty it is. I expected a flash or something, but it’s blue blue. Remember Blue Lagoon, the movie? It’s ocean blue, really gorgeous.Pardon the big dent on my thumb. And the cut! Anyway, it’s an unusual color for me to find, so I like it!

Here’s a sunshiney pic of Orgasm so you can see the shimmer and flash. Okay, I bought it for the name! We’re all familiar with the blush, and this is a beautiful copy of it in laquer form. First coat, I really thought it was just a layering polish, but 4th coat, angels sang. Alot of people might not like this one because of the yellow-orangeness of it, but it went on like a dream, not too thick or thin and it works for my skintone, I think… do you think?
NARS Orgasm (Shade)
Here’s a pic in the shade, and it does look much pinker than in the sun, apparently because it’s not glinting all that lovely golden shimmer. But still, a beautiful polish. I think more tanned or darker skintones would sass this up beautifully.
