OPI Catch Me In Your Net

OPI Catch Me In Your Net

At first, I thought this made me look a bit hooker-ish! But it grew on me, and now it looks like something a mermaid would wear, doesn’t it? It’s aqua but with a greenish cast sometimes. VERY shimmery, maybe glittery, but smooth to the touch. I thought it needed 3 coats, but this is 2. DH took me for a mani/pedi yesterday (sweetie, I had cramps!) and the pedi was fantastic, but they didn’t do the best job on my mani, as you can see, and I didn’t clean it up. Cuticles still chunked. Polish not perfect, but better than my own lately, lol! But the color is lovely. This is from the OPI Butterfly Collection that came out this spring. All in all, I love it for the unique aqua blue-green color and fantastic shimmer/glitteryness of it, and it looks great on my toes!

I’m probably the last one to get ahold of this polish. I don’t “go shopping” much, This a really, unbelievable deep blue cream. It looks black, but it’s not. The darkest blue I’ve ever seen. I probably did a half-assed job here, sorry. I got to playing. It did go on great, the application problem was my fault. It was also really opaque; this picture is just 2 coats. Paid 1.39, it’s a winner!

NARS Blue Lagoon

NARS Blue Lagoon

Goes on dreamy smooth and wonderfully easy. At first, I thought it was just a layering polish, and maybe it is, but here’s 5 coats in the shade, and you can see how pretty it is. I expected a flash or something, but it’s blue blue. Remember Blue Lagoon, the movie? It’s ocean blue, really gorgeous.Pardon the big dent on my thumb. And the cut! Anyway, it’s an unusual color for me to find, so I like it!

OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui

Finally got the Hong Kong collection after everyone else, but I have it. DH went for me today and got the whole collex for me! I don’t have a fave yet, but this one is gorg! Two coats with an OPI! It goes on really smooth and rivals an RBL in texture. The colors are all really interesting and different than you’d expect for a spring collex, but I love it since spring isn’t exactly my color season. Look for more of there pretties soon!

Clarins Ocean from Jessika

Beautiful polish from a beautiful lady! This polish (fake or not) is just lovely and it’s a winner. It’s a deep navy blurple, darker blue. It went on perfectly in two coats, the formula was just right. If you have a chance to get this, grab it! Thank you Jessika!

ChG Flyin' High

Flyin’ High is another winner in the formula category. I checked my blues, thinking I had one like it, but I really don’t. Similar to Custom Kicks, but it bluer. The picture is quite accurate. Pardon the neglected and poorly painted right hand! I think these polishes *may* be Konadable. They’re preeetty opaque….

Illamasqua Phallic

I’ve been dying to review these polishes and we’ve had no light, so I give up. I’m moving on to indoor photos. Hopefully next month I’ll have a lightbox and can take some GOOD pictures. But for now, here we go!

Illas so far seem a bit thick to me. Not unmanageable by any means, but thicker than a typical ChG or OPI. I could easily have managed it in two coats, but my hands were shaky, so the application is imperfect. I have to apply these thicker polishes differently than I would a thinner polish and I’m not quite used to it yet.

The color is a very shimmery deep blue, and I don’t think it’s all that unusual, but it’s very pretty. I favor the Illa creams, I think.

China Glaze Dorothy Who?

This was real big lemming for me, satisfied by the super kind Karla on mua. A beautiful aqua blue smooth glitter, applies really well and dries relatively fast for a glitter. The glitter is both aqua and silver, so it’s double sparkle, and super smooth even without a topcoat. I don’t think my pics do it justice, really. And it comes off easily, too! Thanks so much, Karla!

One of my favorites. It’s a true royal blue, no hints of purple. Very shiny, smooth cream. Applies perfectly, dries quick quick. This is 3 coats, which is normal for OPIs to really come out and show their true intensity.

Easier… SHCSM… maybe not! The brush is odd, and you look at it like…wha?? Then you try it, and amazingly, it works. It appears like a chewed up pro-wide. I bought a load of these at Walmart, remembered I was on a no- buy and took them all but this one back. But it’s okay. >:P Fairy Teal is darker and more bluish than Misa Dirty, Sexy Money. Definitely Teal! Definitely creamy. Applies real easily with the weird-ass brush, dries ultra fast! Wishing there were more colors… and I can only assume there will be.

A blackened blue. Like Lubu Heels for blue lovers. I cannot believe they have DC’d this polish. It’s a black base with blue glitter, and the blue is a deep aqua shade. Goes on perfectly and dries fast. I know I almost always say that, but it’s true! And important to fidgety me.

Oh, so smooth and easy to apply. The color is shimmery and really has the glow of a real sapphire, the fire part! It’s deep looking, like looking into a pool or the sky. You just need to get it, alright?

China Glaze Aqua Baby

I got Aqua Baby because I’ve been on a blue whim lately, and it was unlike most others I had. A real aqua blue, suitable for any skintone, imo. It’s bright, but not as shocking as it may look here. It definitely has no grey or dusty look to it at all. It goes on wonderfully, dries quick.

Oh, luscious purpley, vampy goodness… you all exist in this one polish. It’s blurple. More Blue than it looks here, but definitely purple, too. Three coats here, and goes on great like most OPI cremes do. I wan’t going to get this one, but it called my name, and now, it’s mine!

China Glaze Custom Kicks

I looked at this polish a hunderd times in the stores, then I go to get a mani and spy this gem across the room and have to have it. It’s Custom Kicks! (Holding onto my OPI Natural Nails Basecoat.) I liked it so much I got mani and pedi in it. A simple turquoise blue, it’s a very smooth creme. Now I have to have it for my own!

Justice Just Shine Blue Matte Neon

Just shine no name blue neon matte

Justice polish I got from a tweenie store. Goes on real streaky first coat, but the third, it looks really nice, almost jellyish. Added a topcoat because I just prefer shiny polishes. I did get some chipping pretty quick, but I liked the color, anyway. I found a Color Club Mini polish in 220 Volts that is similar and much better wearing!

Justice No-Name Blue Glitter

Justice No name blue glitter

Justice No name blue glitter

I picked this little glitter polish up at a tweenie store called Justice. I couldn’t resist the blue glittery goodness. It’s actually alot prettier on than I could picture it, and it’s a bit thin, but overall it is a nice polish. Dreis fast, so 3 coats is no big deal. However, I do have some Justice matte neons and they don’t have the stay power of this one or the good looks!

OPI Glacier Bay Blues

I honestly don’t know how to categorize this polish. It’s a blue-green duo shade, though I don’t know if you’d call it duo-chrome or not. Still not positive what the “chrome” part is in “duo-chrome”! I tried very hard to get the colors right in the picture, but this was the best I could do. It’s definitely different, and if you love blues, you just need it!

China Glaze Shower Together

It took me forever to buy this polish, and awhile to get used to it, but now I love the color. It’s a bit deeper than it looks here, more teal, deep turquoise, really. Goes on beautifully smooth and easy. I do love CHG! This one wears real well considering I’ve been cleaning and mopping and all that today.

Beautiful periwinkle blue, very creamy and nice to apply. I think the color is more suited to a cooler toned person, but it is a beauty!
