China Glaze Stellar

First, I love the color of this polish. A champagne beige with micoglitter, I think it’s suit any skintone. This is my usual 3 coats plus SV. Downside: total pita to remove unless you use the soak and wrap method of removal. In my book, it’s worth it!

Here’s one more pic in the bright sunlight. I just think it’s gorgeous and understated at the same time.

NARS Blue Lagoon

NARS Blue Lagoon

NARS Blue Lagoon

Goes on dreamy smooth and wonderfully easy. At first, I thought it was just a layering polish, and maybe it is, but here’s 5 coats in the shade, and you can see how pretty it is. I expected a flash or something, but it’s blue blue. Remember Blue Lagoon, the movie? It’s ocean blue, really gorgeous.Pardon the big dent on my thumb. And the cut! Anyway, it’s an unusual color for me to find, so I like it!

Nars Orgasm

NARS Orgasm

NARS Orgasm

Pardon the cut. I had a cooking accident between the first pic and the second!

Here’s a sunshiney pic of Orgasm so you can see the shimmer and flash. Okay, I bought it for the name! We’re all familiar with the blush, and this is a beautiful copy of it in laquer form. First coat, I really thought it was just a layering polish, but 4th coat, angels sang. Alot of people might not like this one because of the yellow-orangeness of it, but it went on like a dream, not too thick or thin and it works for my skintone, I think… do you think?

NARS Orgasm (Shade)

NARS Orgasm (Shade)

Here’s a pic in the shade, and it does look much pinker than in the sun, apparently because it’s not glinting all that lovely golden shimmer. But still, a beautiful polish. I think more tanned or darker skintones would sass this up beautifully.

Orly Sweets Lollipop

Orly Lollipop

This is from the Orly Sweets Collection, and I didn’t get them all, just this one. Should have tried a couple more. The formula is a nice, thick creme, as you can see in my painting near the cuticle. I think I’ve been so spoiled by pro wide brushes that I need to learn to paint all over again with a regular one. Honestly, though, if I didn’t know it was an Orly, I’d think it was an Illamasqua, the wonderful way it goes on. It’s not quite as shocking  a color as I expected, which is good for me, and all ’round, it’s one I’ll wear again.

OPI Tickle My Francey

Oh, the yummy nudiness of this polish. This is 3 coats and I do still have VNL, which doesn’t bother me, but probably would have taken only 1 more coat to make opaque. This is also the closest I’ve found to my skin color. If you have any mannequin hands color idea, please let me know!

This one probably doesn’t suit me at all, but I love it, anyway. It’s a slightly pinkish cream nude. I only used two coats, here. Normally with an OPI it takes 3 to cover my visible nail line. It goes on great, as usual, even better as it’s a bit thicker than a usual OPI.

Another not-quite white… I like it. How to describe it? It’s not quite white. Maybe a bit sandy pink? 4 fast coats here, so application isn’t great and my hands are frozen dried up pruney red snausages right now! Applies a bit streaky, but gets opaque with 4 coats, or possibly 3 good ones. And geez, do I need a mani! This is a shot of the never seen but often used right hand.

Unfortunately, clouds came and the lighting is terrible, so I’ll update on a sunny day. This polish is unusual, It’s a sheer white base, not streaky. Syrupy. Love. The flakies are a silvery-blue and a coral pink with silver holo micro glitter. It’s very understated and interesting, elegant, even. I can’t wait to see it daylight because I know it will transform! Seems like I can make out a little golden shade? Peachy? Not sure.  Definitely an opalescent, pearlescent glow to it.

Application perfection. Such a nice texture. I would LOVE to try more of these polishes and hope to learn about them. I can’t get #37 opaque, but it may supposed to be layered. It also looks a little like a very soft french with your nail lines showing. I like it this way!  SOrry about the shrink marks on the middle finger.

I tried layering over black, and it turned a trippy blue with all the flakies and the sheer white. “Very cool!” said DH! Over a pastel color, it looked like frost or snowflakes with the sun hitting it just right! Like I said, I cannot wait to see it in the daylight!

Color Club Coastal Creme

Color Club Coastal Creme

A super rich, creamy polish with a hint of pinkish beige, looking very clean. I liked wearing it. The aplication… don’t get me wrong, I adore CC, but it seems thick on their cremes and I have a hard time applying them. So pardon the imperfect application… I was too lazy to clean up, which is why I try to get it *just righty* the first time. The application was a little thick for my liking, so I’ll thin it a bit and use it plenty! Love the shade!

Sorry for the giant pic! AAAAHHHH!! Camera settings are so not my forte’!  Back to polish! Goes on flawlessly smooth. A lovely deeper nude shade, this almost blends into my skin in indoor lighting. Very classy shade. Dries pretty quickly. With OPI, it seems to dry alot faster when I wait until it’s dry to put on topcoat. Otherwise, I end up smudging it. It dries pretty fast on it’s own.

This polish is very close to OPI Bubble Bath. The texture is nice and it goes on without streaks. Apply sheers with a light touch and it helps alot. This is 3 coats.

Beautiful polish. It took three coats, but it’s a lovely ivory bone shade that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Goes on smooth but a little streaky because it’s rather sheer. It doesn’t dry super fast. You can see where I dented it on the pinkie taking the picture. I was impatient!

Love Misa polishes. They go on so nicely and never gloppy or thick. I went on a little Misa spree recently, so I have a lot of them to review, yay! :) Fortunately, they are pretty inexpensive, 2.50-3.00. This is one of my faves. The color is great…warm, not too pink, a little lavender in there. It’s about the only light pink that looks okay on me. I really love it!

OPI Bubble Bath is a classic OPI color. I don’t know why it took me so long to get it! Goes on smoother than any other sheer I have. Dries fast, too. This one is a “gotta-have”!

Sinful Flirting Nails

Really nice formula, looks pretty at 1 coat, but this is 2. A light, shimmery taupe, very neutral. Every bit as good as my OPIs and doesn’t smell as bad! The Sinful polishes are available at Walgreens and I’m sure many other stores. Fred Meyer, to name one other in the NW. They are usually $1.99, and often BOGO, so they are well worth the price if you like the color… or if you want to experiment!

OPI Breathe Life

This polish is made for Lung Cancer Awareness. It’s a sheer icy blue pearlescent that goes on really nicely. It is so much prettier in different lighting situations and can easily morph another polish into something else entirely. I really can’t capture how lovely this shade is. Dried fast…this is 3 coats.

A lightly shimmering nude polish that dried quickly. This is three coats. Might be better suited to another skintone than mine, but I like it alot anyway. Prettiest nude shade I have!

Essie ST. Lucia Lilac

Essies are so nice! This is my first one and it’s so easy to apply and such a pretty shade of light lilac. It dried quickly; I’m wearing 3 coats here. I think they tend to be a little more sheer than some other brands, but that adds to their charm for me.
