Urban Decay F-Bomb

This little beauty is from the Apocalypse Set from Jessika of PolishInsomniac and is a toned down red that is very wearable. Alot of reds are just too much for me, but this one’s like a deeper shade of red. I don’t know how to describe it! It’s red, people! But not Xmas red… more of a hot red.

I do see lately that I need to restart the clean up ritual on my manis, as my hands shake like mad these days. I’ll start that again on my next one… this is a 3 day old mani but it’s so pretty I don’t wanna take it off! This polish really stands up to some abuse, too! I’ve been canoeing a couple of times with this polish on and not a chip.

Oh. My. Goodness! This polish is tiny in size but packed with power! A better painter could do this in one coat. I had to use 2 because of my shaky hands. You can see the under-color where I tried to correct my errors, lol. It’s a deep dark bloody black reddish purple! It looks black to most people, but even my dh can make out some reddish purple in there. It went on so smooth …any errors are my shaky hands. And only 2 coats for massive opacity! No vnl here. Me thinks these will be great for Konad! LOVE! Thanks, Jessika!

I got a wonderful surprise in the mail from none other than my dear Jessika! In it is the fabulous Urban Decay Apocalypse Set, a bronzey polish from The Face Shop and a yummy face mask! AND a whole roll of Bottle Caps all for me! (But I shared, lol.) More pics follow!

And here’s the gem I got in the mail! Really beautiful colors. I bought this for another friend awhile back and drooled over it then, and then voila’! There’s one at my door! So I sat back last night, did my nails in Apocalypse and deep conditioned my hair, did a face mask with the mask Jessika also sent me and ate my Bottle Caps with a couple glasses of wine! A wonderful evening! Thanks, sweetie! I sure needed one!

Luscious juicy jelly sheer rose pink! I’m not sure it’s my color but I love it and will joyously wear it anyway! It went on deliciously smooth, this is 4 coats. Don’t expect a vnl not to show! This polish looks dripping wet all the time. No topcoat here! Thanks Rozie for such a beauty!! I am so enjoying every one of them!

Fairwind Purple Stardust from Kesha

Kesha fulfilled my longtime lemming for this beauty. It’s a deep purple with sparkly golden microglitter (or diamond dust, lol!) Very vampy and sexy… speaking of vampy, my mom says that term comes from “ladies” that used to follow Rudolph Valentino around… Vamps. I have to wonder if that’s where Vampy came from or is it really the whole vampire thing? ANyhoo… probaby not! LOL! Wikipedia lists its first use in the 40s. Rozie performed the greatest kindness for me ages back when she bought me a bunch of Illas that are Euorpean only. I had an orgasm, I swear. I’ve staved off using them until I could get her long awaited packge off! Now it’s on! This was one I wasn’t going to get! Can you imagine how po’d I’d have been??? Bright violet purple with multicolored micro glitter! It goes on like buttah, it stays like iron. Amazing polish and I’m so glad you got this one for me, Roze! Thank you!! Catrice Dusk til Dawn from IceRozie

Catrice polishes ROCK. Can anyone tell me how to get more of these babies?!?! Rozie was kind enough to think of me on her vacation and sent me two of them. They go on like and Illa, really. Smooth and creamy, and this is only 2 coats!! Great coverage and the color is a dusky brown that reminds me a tad of Particuliere’. It’s not a dirty brown… it looks clean and chic! Thank you Roze, for thinking of me!

Broken index nail!

I ended up making the nail last until I could get to Sally’s, where the SAs are SO NOT helpful. They didn’t have a single product I needed other than nail glue. So off I go with my nail glue and teensy buffer file. I glue the top and bottom, buff the top and once polish is on I can’t tell it’s there! I suspect it will continue to split, however, and all I can say is that I’m sorry I didn’t practice more painting with my other hand! You can see the break past the vnl curving towards my finger. Pretty deep, so it’ll be a loss when it comes off. Oh, well! Nails grow!
